New VW Golf Mark 6
The New VW Golf Is one of UK Car Broker (and Europe’s!) best selling cars, and for very good reason. It combines all of the qualities Volkswagen is known for into a practical everyday package at a sensible price. The styling is always conservative yet classy, and seems to last exceptionally well unlike other manufacturers whose fashionable styles date quickly. The build is always to a high standard, with high quality materials and soft touch plastics around the cabin. Handling is set towards a quite comfortable ride on the standard models, with a sporting edge on the higher spec cars, but never turning harsh or uncomfortable. Space is very good both front and rear, with excellent head and legroom. This latest Mark 6 version takes everything VW learned with the previous generation, and improves it – a higher quality interior with even better materials, smoother and more fuel efficient engines, and more refinement with the new Golf’s cabin being incredibly quiet on the move. |

New VW Golf 1.4
The New VW Golf 1.4 is the smallest engine in the Golf Range, but currently has several different versions, so worth checking to see which you are buying. The basic New VW Golf 1.4 S has an 80 bhp engine, which is an older motor that gives 80 bhp and is a little underpowered for motorway work. Be careful not to confuse it with the Golf 1.4 TSI -those three initials TSI mean a lot – a much newer, completely redesigned motor which has either a 122 bhp motor or a 160 bhp motor in the GT variants, both are much smoother and more powerful, but also a fair bit more expensive than the older 1.4 – check our prices above. |

New VW Golf 2.0 TDI
The New VW Golf 2.0 TDI is set to be the mainstay of the new Golf range and takes over where the old 1.9 left off but is much nicer to use due to the Common Rail Fuel Injection rather than the old Pump Deuse system on the 1.9 – all a bit complicated, but it makes the engine much quieter and smoother, and is definitely the one to have. There are 2 different power levels available, either 110 or 140 bhp. The 110 is the sensible and cheaper choice – great on fuel with 62mpg, a top speed of 120 mph and a reasonable 0 to 60 time of 10.7 seconds. The 140 gives real go, with a 0 to 60 time of 9.3 seconds, a top speed of 130 mph and a still very good mpg figure of 57.6 mpg, best suited to the GT models and if you like having the extra go, well worth the additional cost. |

New VW Golf S Spec
The New VW Golf S Specification is the entry level trim for the new Mk 6 version. It comes with a 3 year, 60,000 warranty and Volkswagen roadside assistance. Trim wise it has 15” steel wheels, air conditioning, exterior temperature gauge, auto door locking, cup-holders, pollen filter, electric front windows, cooled glove-box, multifunction midline computer, CD player with 4 speakers, remote central locking with immobiliser, split folding rear seats, airbags all round, Isofix for child seats, and all the electronic safety gizmo’s you need. |

The New VW Golf SE Takes everything you get on the basic S and adds: a nice set of 16” alloy wheels, chrome radiator grille, alarm, automatic on headlights, cruise control, rear electric windows (in the 5 door) front centre armrest, front comfort seats with height and lumbar adjustment, seat storage pockets, USB and Ipod connector, rain sensing wipers, auto dimming rear view mirror, upgraded RCD310 stereo with CD player, 8 speakers and an Aux-In socket for your MP£ player, and even a set of illuminated vanity mirrors to do your make-up in. |

The New VW Golf GT is the higher spec model in the range, and more focused on being overtly sporty. Over and above the SE it has firmer sports suspension, larger 17” alloys, “cherry red” rear lights clusters, plenty of chrome on the air intakes, fog lamps, and dash and door inserts to let you know you’ve paid a little more, a set of tinted windows, carpet mats, leather trimmed steering wheel and gear knob with buttons for the radio and cruise control on it, alcantara sports seats, a highline multifunction computer, front fog lights, and tyre pressure monitoring to let you know if you’ve got a puncture. |
